Business Resources

  • Whether you have an immediate job opening or would just like to share information about the types of careers your company offers, sign up to have a table to meet county students and interested job seekers from the general public.
  • We anticipate having 700 students from Clatsop and Pacific County Schools arriving in two groups. New for this year, Clatsop Community College students and the general public will be able to attend for the duration of the event.
  • Feedback from past student attendees indicate that the most successful booths are those employers who engage the students in conversation and don’t just sit behind a table. One option for set-up is to turn your table sideways to open the space for conversation and discussion.
  • It is our intent to provide the students of Clatsop County & Pacific County with as many potential employers/career options as possible.
  • We are stressing not only the importance of securing jobs, but also sharing the multitude of careers available in our region; from vocational/career technical, to Clatsop Community College degree seeking students, and university students returning to the area post-graduation. Share with students the many options for their immediate and future aspirations!

Summer Internships

Benefits of hiring an intern
  • Close the skill gap and retain local talent- Help a student develop important workplace skills such as professionalism, leadership, and effective communication, while developing future high school and community college graduates to contribute value-adding work to your business now and in the future.
  • Give back to the community- Hiring interns not only helps students in your community get started, it enhances the local workforce as a whole and creates more visibility for your organization.
  • Take on creative and advanced projects- Interns often bring enthusiasm, positive energy, and a new perspective while increasing your bandwidth for new projects.
